Looking Ahead: 2026 South Georgia Annual Conference at Epworth by the Sea
There is something special about gathering as a connectional church — praying together, worshiping together, and discerning God’s call for our shared ministry. That is why we are thrilled to announce that the South Georgia Conference of the Global Methodist Church will return to Epworth by the Sea on St. Simons Island for our 2026 Annual Conference.
📅 Conference Dates:
Thursday, July 9 – Saturday, July 11, 2026
🕊️ Optional Pre-Conference Fellowship & Worship:
Wednesday, July 8, 2026
From the waterfront views to the historic Wesley roots of St. Simons, Epworth remains one of the most meaningful places in the Methodist movement. For decades, believers have gathered on this holy ground to seek God’s direction — and we look forward to doing so again.
What to Expect
Planning for 2026 began almost the moment our last conference concluded. Our leadership team is already working diligently to create a powerful, Spirit-filled gathering that will:
Celebrate God’s work in our local churches
Equip pastors and laity for bold ministry
Provide time for prayer, worship, and connection
Strengthen our common mission across South Georgia
Over the coming months, we will share more information, including:
✅ Conference theme
✅ Guest speakers and worship leaders
✅ Housing and registration details
✅ A full schedule for the week
Why It Matters
Annual Conference is more than a business meeting — it is a family reunion rooted in Scripture, mission, and the Wesleyan call to spread Scriptural holiness across the land. It is a time when we gather, encourage one another, and remember that we are part of a movement larger than any one church or community.
